Dr K Sasidharan born in June 1952, in a family with an illustrious tradition of Ayurveda in Kerala for about 5 ancestral generations of practicing Ayurvedic physicians. After graduating in 1976 he postgraduated in 1988 from the prestigious Govt Ayurveda college Trivandrum Kerala S.India and has now grown to be recognized as a renowned Ayurveda physician , academician and researcher in Ayurveda .He is much privileged to get associated with the stalwarts of Ayurveda to work in the areas of clinic , academy and research in Ayurveda.

Starting his career as Tutor in Govt Ayurveda college Trivandrum in 1977 he served in the posts of lecturer, Reader ,Professor , hospital medical superintendent and vice principal in The Ayurveda college Coimbatore for about 11 years and later joined as Reader in Ayurveda in the prestigious Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit Kaladi in Kerala .His academic insights are exceptional in blending the tradition and science .

During his career, he has held key positions in many universities like member of senate, Bharathiar university,coimbatore, member P G board of studies sree sankaracharya university Kaladi, board of studies Amrutha Ayurveda medical college vallikavu, Kollam and Sri Jayendra saraswathi Ayurveda college Chennai..

He was examiner and paper setter for undergraduate and post graduate Ayurveda examinations of various universities like Kerala, Calicut, Bharathiar, Madras and Dr MGR Medical university Tamilnadu. He has presented number of scientific papers in national and international seminars and also published invaluable papers in approved journals.

After relieving the academic posts , he served as the Medical superintendent and research director of the renowned Keraleeya Ayurveda Samajam hospital and research center in Shoranur Kerala and later joined as Medical superintendent in the multinational public limited company Kerala Ayurveda Ltd Aluva Kerala.

He has visited abroad for conducting series of lectures on Ayurveda under the invitation of various foreign organizations ..

He is the recipient of the BHISHAK RETNA AWARD 2006 and is the health panel executive ,Confederation of Indian Industries(CII) Chennai..

He is married ,wife’s name is K K Lethakumari and has one son doing graduation in the Ayurveda college , Trivandrum..Kerala .
