Prof. Dr. K. Sasidharan MD(Ay)
Prof. Dr. K. Sasidharan is recognized as a renowned clinician, academician, and researcher in the field of Ayurveda. Born at Kanjoor near Kaladi, he belongs to a family with an illustrious traditional background, spanning approximately four generations of practicing traditional Ayurveda. His extensive career encompasses around 20 years of experience in academia and, as of 2025, 27 years in clinical practice and research. His contributions to the field have been recognized with honors such as the Bhishak Retna award in 2009 and a prestigious certificate of Excellence in Ayurveda delivered by the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kaladi, in 2021.

Daughter-in-law: Dr. Nimmy Praveen Kumar, MD (Ay), Head of Department and Associate Professor at Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Medical College, Ollur.
The family is blessed with two children.

Dr. K. Sasidharan was awarded the Ayurveda Bhishak Ratna Award in 2006, presented by Jose Thettayil, who served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Angamaly constituency in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.
